• Now we need to take the dimensions. We take measurements between the walls of the arch and determine the height of the opening. Transfer it all to paper;
• Now we select the necessary radius.You should not draw it by hand, it will have irregular shapes.
  Make all measurements right near the opening and check them with a meter;
• We cut the profile to the desired size for the side walls. To do this, we use scissors for metal, we also provide a distance from the profile to the wall at the level of 1.5 cm.
  Correctly determine their length, it should not be by the height of the opening, but start measuring from the beginning of the arch;
• After that, we fasten them with dowels. We use a puncher to make holes.
  We make the installation of the profile on both sides of the arch;
• We draw the required radius on drywall and cut it out. We attach the sheet to the wall with the profile and mount using dowels;
• Now we take the UD profile and make cuts along the stiffener. This will help us bend.
  After that, on the radius made, we apply the profile and fasten it to the drywall using self-tapping screws ;;

• We perform the exact same procedure on the other side of the arch;

Caution: Carefully make a radius on drywall and mount it symmetrically on both sides of the opening. Otherwise, if this is not done, your arch will have an irregular geometric shape.

• Now we make segments from the profile and connect them to both sides of the arch. Then we get a more solid construction for installing drywall.

Facing the arch with drywall

We have a skeleton of the arch, which should be lined with drywall. You do it yourself so do not rush.
Make high-quality measurements so as not to repent later.
So:

• We measure the internal width of the arch and cut the plasterboard;

Caution: Do not try to accurately measure the length. Make the radius longer. It can always be cut. But if you make it shorter, then this will be eliminated and problematic.

• We make holes on the material with a needle roller, it can be freely purchased in retail;

• Now we take a sponge and with it we put water on the holes. Material after a while becomes more flexible and pliable;
• After that, we bend the material according to the diameter. To do this, it is better to prepare a template.
  The material should be fixed with clamps on both sides;

Drywall bending

• Let the workpiece dry, but not completely. We take the material damp and make fastening along the radius using self-tapping screws;
• Now let the material dry completely;
• After that we do the putty finishing. To start, we cook it.
  To do this, it is best to use a plastic bucket from under the paint as a container. In it, kneading is most convenient.
  For manufacturing we use a drill with a nozzle, it is with its help that mass uniformity can be achieved;
• Take a spatula and apply a draft solution. Let it dry and apply the next layer.
  We do this until we have about 5 mm left for finishing;
• Let the material dry out and apply the finish layer. At the same time, we use a sickle on the corner of the arch.
  It will give rigidity to the edge of the corner;
• Let the surface dry. We carry out grinding with a construction grid or sandpaper.
  If sinks remain on the surface, then they should be treated again with putty and do the whole procedure again. So do we achieve the ideal plane of the arch.
