From ancient times people attributed to any flowers magical and mystical properties. Each flower had a certain energy and could in one way or another influence the fate of a person. And even today, in the age of high technology, many continue to believe in the inexplicable properties of flowers.

In this article, we’ll talk not only about murals, but about murals with tulips, which, due to their natural diversity, generate a lot of speculation.

Tulips and their history

Tulips and mill - two main symbols of Holland
Tulips and mill - two main symbols of Holland

Today, the tulip flower is mostly associated with Holland, but this has not always been the case. Holland became the capital of tulips only in the 16th century, and before that the countries of the Middle East were considered their homeland.

According to one version, the word tulip itself refers to the Turkic designation of the headdress, which today sounds like a turban. True or not, but a very beautiful legend is associated with the flower itself, according to which, one oriental shah fell in love with a simple girl, but because of the harsh customs of their country, they could not be together.

Unable to withstand unhappy love, the shah threw himself from a cliff into the gorge and crashed onto stones, and in those places where the blood of the unfortunate lover fell, scarlet flowers, of which tulips were, were of unprecedented beauty. Since then, it is generally accepted that this flower is a symbol of pure and immaculate love. Love is so strong that even life without this person makes no sense.

In later centuries, when Holland began to grow tulips in large quantities, a lot of people appeared rich on their bulbs, and the flower itself was considered a symbol of wealth and beautiful life.

It is interesting that the ancient Chinese teaching of Feng Shui also considers tulips to be a symbol of wealth, but at the same time it clarifies that tulips will bring wealth only to those who sincerely and truly love.

So different tulips

Tulip is one of the few flowers that has a wide range of colors, except a rose can boast of such a variety, but it has a completely different symbolism.

An interesting fact is that, depending on the color of the tulip, its symbolic meaning also changes, and although the general orientation remains the same, but the nuances are clearly different. If we talk about photowall-paper tulips in an interior, then besides a mystical component, there are also purely design secrets that help to create unique interiors.

Advice! Before deciding on a choice, it is advisable to make a three-dimensional model of the room, in some kind of computer program, to visually imagine what this or that drawing will look like in the general interior.

Well, before you look at some of the most common types of tulips, you can watch a video on which photo wallpapers are presented in all their diversity.

Red flowers

Red tulips are rightfully considered the most common and popular, it is with them that the legend of the appearance of this flower is associated. A symbol of love and devotion, it is their custom to give women on March 8. Wall murals and tulips with red or burgundy shades are also relevant.

Such wallpapers can be glued in any room, regardless of its purpose, only it is important to remember that red is a very heavy and emotional color that can equally cause aggression and complete apathy, so you should handle it very carefully.

For example, in a children's room it is better to refuse bright red tulips, well, or dilute them with green or blue shades, but in the bedroom (see How to choose the color of wallpaper for the bedroom), on the contrary, it will look very organic. Psychologists consider the red color of passion, therefore, in the interior of the bedroom, he is able to rekindle a new feeling and strengthen passion for each other.

Also, red flowers are suitable for the living room (see The coloring of the wallpaper in the living room: what to choose), where for them you can highlight the whole wall, but not the one on which the TV is located, since bright colors will constantly distract and scatter attention, which sooner or later will lead to headaches and fatigue.

Of course, in many ways, the use of photo wallpaper is a matter of taste and personal perception, but there are several general nuances that should be taken into account:

  • The brighter the flowers on the wallpaper, the smoother the transition should be.. The game in strong contrasts gets bored very quickly and after a few months the new repair will get bored and start to get bored.
  • Red color goes very well with black, but the overall interior will become somewhat gloomy, so you can add pure white spots that will dilute the atmosphere.
  • Red - the color is relevant for rooms with a large area and high ceilings, since it’s a small room, it will steal even more and a feeling of isolation and stupidity will appear.
  • If the interior uses wallpaper 3D tulips for the walls, then the selected wall should not be forced by anything. Otherwise, a complex drawing will lose its individuality, and the perception of design will completely disappear.

Important! Today’s popular 3D wallpaper is distinguished from its counterparts not only by its higher price, but also by the difficulty of sticking, so if you decide to do the repair yourself, you should first practice on a small area, which in case of failure will not be so expensive to redo.

Green

Wall mural green tulips should be used in the case when it is necessary to create a soft and comfortable atmosphere. But the problem is that in nature, green tulips are only in the early stages of flowering. In this case, white tulips, as in the photo above, will be an ideal option.

In this case, one of the favorite tricks of all designers is used, namely the game on low-contrast tones. In such wallpapers, green, the color of peace and tranquility will be predominant, while white will successfully highlight and emphasize it.

Wall mural tulips green in the interior - this is ideal for a kitchen or children's room, here they will not look intrusive, but simply emphasize the overall design.

As for practical tips on using green and white in the interior, everything is much safer than in the case of red, but a couple of tips can still be highlighted:

  • The green color itself has several shades that are very different from each other, but at the same time are perfectly combined. For example, a pistachio shade and lime - this is an interesting solution for a high-tech kitchen.
  • You should not play in strong contrasts, diluting green or white with dark shades. This will give the interior a sense of incompleteness and pretentiousness.
  • The combination of green, white and blue is great for the bedroom.
  • Wall murals with a predominant green hue, in themselves, are self-sufficient, but at the same time do not strain their eyes, which means that they can be used as a key accent in the room.

Advice! Shades of green on the brink with yellow, such as lime, are more suitable for the youth style, while the noble emerald, radiates stability and nobility, and therefore is more suitable for older people.

Yellow tulips

Contrary to the assurances of the once popular song, yellow tulips are not the messengers of parting, but rather it's just a beautiful rhyme. But according to popular beliefs, it is a symbol of unity, understanding and friendship. Yellow has always been associated with the sun, warmth and goodness, so there can be no talk of separation.

If we talk about photowall-paper tulips on a wall, then yellow is one of the most attractive for any interior. Flowers with bright, sunny hues are an integral part of styles such as Provence or country.

These design concepts were originally designed to bring the warmth and coziness characteristic of village houses somewhere on the French Riviera. The yellow color is suitable for all rooms in the house, regardless of their purpose, in addition, yellow tulips are pleasing with their diversity. Especially when it comes to combination with the greenery of the stem and leaves.

Most professional designers are very fond of using this color when creating interiors, as it is considered to be a win-win option. First of all, this, of course, is the possibility of combining with most other colors, and secondly, this is the heat that this color carries in itself.

Based on all the positive aspects of the shades of yellow, it’s very difficult to identify any specific tips on its use, so we will focus only on a couple of the most significant:

  • Yellow plays poorly in contrasts, for it, smooth transitions along the rainbow spectrum are more relevant.
  • The more bright spots will be used in the interior, the less lighting will be needed in the roomand vice versa, a large amount of lighting will only overload the room.
  • Feng Shui teachings recommend using yellow tulips in the interior of a living room or hallway, that is, in those places where the reception of guests takes place, as they personify friendship and mutual understanding between people.

Purple and black

Violet and black tulips, the most noble and majestic. No wonder in the old days they were considered a symbol of high kind and position in society. Such an attitude to these flowers is no coincidence, since it is believed that they are the most whimsical and demanding in care, and therefore it is much more difficult to grow them than the red or yellow ones that are familiar to everyone.

As for the use of dark tulips in the interior, then, as a rule, this is the prerogative of people who are bold and ambitious. Feng Shui also gives these colors roughly the same meaning.

The complexity of their use lies in the ability to catch a fine line between noble languorous grace and Gothic gloom (see. Gothic wallpaper for walls in the interior) About the same thing happens if you overload the art deco style, which eventually turns into an elaborate pseudo-gothic.

But perhaps these flowers are interesting because they can emphasize the individuality and filled inner world of its owner. An ideal place to apply photo wallpaper with black or purple tulips is the bedroom, where you can always give in to the desire to experiment and at the same time it will not be visible to everyone.

It is difficult to compete with the beauty and grace of dark tulips, so for sure many will have a desire to purchase wall murals with them, and it is important to remember that the instructions for using black in the interior have a lot of points, each of which will have to be taken into account, but we, in our turn, we will focus only on the most basic:

  • Do not use dark colors in the nursery or living room if the house has small children. Children's psyche is very susceptible to flowers, and there is no need to overload it.
  • Violet color works very well with blue and red, but white spots can be used as an accent.
  • You should not use black or purple in rooms with a small area, as there they will create an oppressive and uncomfortable atmosphere.

To summarize

Analyzing all of the above, we can conclude that the use of a variety of photowall-paper with tulips in the interior is troublesome and difficult to dispel this doubt, we present a small table in which we show where and which shades are best used:

As you can see, there is nothing complicated here, the main thing is to clearly determine the concept and choose exactly what the soul lies in, because if the owners like the design, then it’s already done.
